The Art Of Abhyanga (Self Massage)

$77.00

Sunday 14th of June

11:30am - 1:30pm

The Sanskrit word ‘Abhyanga’ means '‘lovingly oiling the body’. It is a traditional Ayurvedic self-care practice. Self massage has many benefits for the health of your skin, circulation, dislodging toxins, lymphatic drainage, toning the body, digestion, sleep, calming the mind and nervous system and so much more.

Here is what you will experience in the workshop:

  • knowledge about where the practice comes from

  • why it is seen as one of the most important body maintenance practices you can do for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health

  • how it is done correctly and safely for your body in all stages

  • how to release tension in the tissue

  • how your lymphatic system works

  • a beautiful complete self massage practice done together in the workshop

  • receive an in-depth video after the workshop going over the practice again so you can do it in your own time, memorise it and even implement your own way of helping your body

For this workshop you will need to:

  • wear loose, comfortable clothing that you don’t mind potentially getting oil on

  • bring two towels that you can use for your massage (you will get oil on these towels so avoid fancy towels!)

  • bring a bottle of oil of your choosing. The choice of oil is decided by your mind-body type and the season. You will be receiving an email upon booking about how to choose the best oil for your body.

  • bring some warm water in a stainless steel water bottle

This workshop will be informative and healing in so many ways.

I encourage you to open your mind to the possibility that you have the power to help your body cleanse, release, clear and rejuvenate.

See you in practice.
